Alexis Escobar

Alexis Escobar

Physical Therapy Aide

Alexis was born in Matamoros, TAM and raised in Brownsville, TX. He graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a bachelor’s in Business Administration in 2023 and is currently pursuing completion of the pre-requisite courses to apply for various Doctor of Physical Therapy programs in Texas.

His decision to change fields of study came about when he started taking his grandpa to the gym and saw a noticeable change in him – he went from inactivity and low in energy to feeling more motivated and happier throughout his daily activities. Seeing this change within somebody he cares deeply about and being able to play a role in it motivates the idea of wanting to be a part of that change in others.

Since then, Alexis has dedicated himself to gaining as much academic knowledge and clinical experience in preparation for entering a DPT program. He believes that despite being from a different field, with showing commitment and dedication he will be able to achieve his goal of becoming a Doctor of Physical Therapy.

Outside of school and clinical settings, Alexis enjoys spending time with friends and family, playing sports, and traveling.
